Why bother with Socratic Seminar?

Why bother with world history?

Why not bother with world history? There's a whole world out there within your fingertips!
History is like a never ending vast library of knowledge. It's interesting and exciting! Well at least to most of the people I know.
Through my experiences, history has taught me a lot in life, it tells me stories of battles where brave men fought for the freedom that I enjoy today, who I come from, the influences that brought about my culture, and many other important things in my life.

Why bother with literature?

I can tell you why in my perspective. Literature is the fundamental basis from where we can express ourselves in our minds , writing , and with each other. Literature inspires our imaginations, it teaches us every single day of our lives, it can give a sense of fulfillment in our lives too. So bother with Literature!

Why bother with geography?

First of all you don't want to be on one of those game shows and look like a dummy when you don't know where Mexico is. So let's be smart people, take advantage of learning about the face of the earth. Knowing where things are in the world will help you throughout your life.

Why bother with the Language Arts?

Language Arts can be fascinating if you know how to use them. If you don't know how to use them then you don't know how to read, write, listen or speak. Which would be extremely frustrating, so that's why you need to care about Language Arts.

I guess your annoying cousin gets to be the first person ever to talk on your blog. How great is that!? I found your point of view on Geography particularly interesting. What game show are you talking about? One of those cheap Japanese ones? But you are right, I don't want to be one of those people. Ta ta for now!

I love your first paragraph. I never thought of history as a "vast library of knowledge" before! Flippen awesome! But ya, to know who you are and how everything came about is a cool thing to know, and important! : )

That's awesome dude! I agree with one of your points on History, I find alot of history interesting. Last year in fact, I read almost the entire history textbook!
That gameshow thing was funny. You'd have to be a pretty big idiot not to know where Mexico is!
